The complex social, economic and environmental challenges facing Canada, including homelessness, climate change and youth employment, require creativity and transformative solutions. Social innovation refers to new ideas which, when adopted, improve the well-being of a community.
The Congress of Aboriginal Peoples launched a Traditional and Modern Knowledge Exchange platform including two courses on Indigenous Innovation and ways to support Indigenous Innovators.
Indigenous people have an important role to play in ensuring that we create a world – a planet and a society that can live in harmony. These two course are designed to empower Indigenous people interested in social innovation and help other members of the ecosystem working in government, finance, and innovation to better support and collaborate with Indigenous innovators.
